4 questions to help you start your speech

Having a hard time writing your speech?

Try these questions to help you get going:

1) If the audience only remembered one thing from your talk- what would it be?

2) What do you want the audience to know that they don’t already? (and what technical information do you need to share to help them get there)

3) Why is this idea/ topic/ direction important to you?

4) Why should it be important to the audience?

Writing a great speech or presentation is hard because there is so much you could talk about.

Without direction you can sit for days in front of your computer.

When you really know what you want your talk to achieve, writing it becomes so much easier.
