5 steps to build public speaking confidence

If you’re scared of heights, would you go sky-diving to cure it?

If you’re scared of insects, would you go to the jungle?

The cure for glassophobia (the fear of public speaking) isn’t jumping onto the stage to do a TED talk.

Work your way up the speaking chain until the idea of going on stage no longer feels terrifying, but the natural next step.

Would you change the order? I went back and forth about having podcast be #1 because it’s so much easier to feel comfortable talking 1:1 than in a group. But I think there is real skill to being a good podcast guest which comes from already having confidence in your voice and your message.
